The Good: Park was clean and well kept. Most all sites are heavily shaded although our particular site had adequate shading but still open and large. Lot #157. Electric was good as was cable. Had approximate 100 channels. Pretty lake with center spray for effect and several creeks and branches. Every one in the park was friendly. Many permanent trailers and occupants. All were well kept. Had several rental spaces for motorhomes. However be advised that 40ft. is the limit and that's for a reason. Problems or some negatives: The campground/resort can present some maneuver problems especially with a 40ft motorhome. We had to pull and straighten a few times to get backed in. But all was OK afterward. The water pressure is low, about 25 lbs. As I said the cable is good but we have not been able to acquire satellite even though it appears we have a clear view. The sites that adjoin the Hwy. 321 are noisy as the road is well traveled. The pool was closed but appears to be a large multiple shaped pool. Nice tennis court. Has a mini golf area (Carpet golf) A small playground but clean and has nice play equipment. The restaurant was closed. Can't assess. All in all, a nice resort although very full. Kept in mind that most all campgrounds in this area are geared to smaller trailers and coaches. And the majority are limited to 40' for motorhomes. It is away from Gatlinburg to the tune of about 10+ miles. That's a negative, but we have our towed and motorcycle so not an issue. If you want to be real close to Gatlinburg, with trolley service and have a pretty nice campground then Twin Creeks would be my choice. One last suggestion. Make sure you drop your towed at the front and some of the turns are too acute with it attached.
The ocean front view we had was great. Electric and water pressure was good and had no problems. The wifi was weak at times but manageable. I would return. Now the negatives: Pets are allowed but not monitored enough. We had no real problems except we did observe a couple using the beach area and the owner did not act appropriately afterwards. Also, NO pool. I love beach but at times we enjoy the pool. Also, we had a beach front site. It has a small (about 8' strip) of lawn area in front of the sites. It should have orinmental fencing between site to prevent it being used as throughfare. People are constantly using this as a walkway to the beach steps.
This is a typical resort type park. The site was clean, security with key pass, all the typical resort pads. Our site was pull through as most are. Each has shrubs and even orange and lime trees. A nice touch. Now all that being said, I was reminded of the movie: Planes, Trains and Automobiles while here. It was noisy. North of park is I-10, SW is Tucson Airport and they have a train line near too. That does not contribute to a quite night. It was convenient but I think I might try to find a less urban park if I stayed here long. Its a nice resort, but with the above mentioned noise plus the in and out of rv's it was just too noisy especially if you are parked near the front area with the added check in and out noise. The only reason this park failed to get a 10 from me is the lack of a pool. The camp sites are level, gravel but a fine mesh gravel and not prone to track ins. Most sites are well shaded and wide. Separation is a nice split rail fencing and also trees. This gives you nice privacy as well as shade and helps should any wind blow. They keep this place clean and neat. After each camper leaves they clean the sites and rack them to make sure no tracks are left in the gravel. That's neat. Throughout the day the grounds are being patrolled and kept in order. Top notch. Yes, I would return. A cozy place that makes you feel secure and welcome. The camp staff were extremely friendly. Good power, water pressure was fine contrary to a previous poster saying otherwise, they had strong wifi at my site although I did not use it as I used my Verizon card. Good service on that too here. The campground views are wonderful. You are surrounded within a canyon with extreme high red rock walls. The walls are referred to 'Watchman'. We had a pull through in site B21. There are not many pull through sites and they are a little sloped but not too much. There were trees at our site, but most interior or rear sites were not shaded. Creek I call it they say its (Virgin River) at rear of campground with wonderful sounds and you can tube and play in it. It is a little cool in October for that. Staff was very friendly and extended an extra nice to us giving us 7nights for the cost of 6. That may be norm. We would stay again but would certainly insist on a pull through as with our 40' Motor home. Most of the other sites would have limited maneuvering room. It is dusty with no grass.
This is a city park for mainly the balloon fiesta. It is flat, dry and they pack you in. We stayed in the so called VIP area and other than being close to the gate that's about it. Just a huge dirt and gravel parking lot. It served the purpose for the Balloon Fiesta and you should know it is basically a dry camp. They will fill you with water and offer a pumping service for a fee. Both about $20 each if you need it.
This is basically a 55+ resort. Many park models but very nice in a Spanish type setting. Super clean. Very large area although the sites are close you don't feel cramped. They have two large pools (a cool pool and a warm pool), plus two hot tubs (a warm tub and a hot spa type). All salt water pools. Super grounds and lots of areas for hobbies. Very convenient to all major type stores. Only draw back, its windy in this area and it blows about 1/2 the month. Sometimes it can get high winds. Never could leave the awnings down.
